A year ago on this date I had the pleasure of speaking at MaRS to women in Technology about breaking barriers and communication!! When I was asked how do women of diversity get the attention of people who would ignore them immediately based on first meeting biases, I responded "You bring more than hardskills to the game, who you are matters. Ignorance will go ahead and walk itself off a cliff. Don't let the little opinions speak over you."
